The Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region" is a structural and functional unit that is part of the State Institution "TMA of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region" and was created to ensure the sanitary and epidemic well-being of persons who, in accordance with the law, have the right to medical care in health care institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region" in its activities is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Laws of Ukraine "Fundamentals of Legislation of Ukraine on Health Care", "On Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemic Welfare of the Population", acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and other regulations.
Main tasks of the Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk region":
Implementation of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision over the observance by legal entities and individuals of the sanitary legislation of Ukraine, sanitary norms and rules, and normative legal acts in order to preserve and protect the health of police officers, employees of territorial bodies of the National Police and units, institutions subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, members of their families, pensioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The study, assessment, and forecasting of health indicators, persons entitled to medical care, and identification of environmental factors that adversely affect human health.
Preparation of proposals to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of persons entitled to medical care and persons who are in the units of the National Police, prevention of the spread of infectious diseases.
The Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk region":
- participates in deciphering outbreaks and group infectious diseases, investigating the causes of occupational diseases and poisonings, food poisoning, and toxic infections;
- conducts bacteriological and sanitary-hygienic laboratory studies of environmental objects and bacteriological examinations of subordinate contingents within the mandatory nomenclature of studies approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the declared field of certification of laboratories and the capabilities of available laboratory equipment;
- interacts with municipal and state health care institutions, territorial bodies of the National Police, military units of the National Guard of Ukraine, other enterprises and organizations subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and located in the region (city) to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of persons entitled to medical care and persons in the units of the National Police, to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
